I’ve used delugeVPN with PIA for about 2 years now and have never had a speed complaint.
Not to necro, but I had to use a canadian server that has proxy enabled. I shouldn’t complain as speeds have been pretty great, but do you happen to be nearby a PIA server that does proxy? I’m about 800ish miles away from the PIA server I’m connecting to
I can easily get 1 gbps on my qbittorrent with mullvad
omg you just solved it for me!!! I have been getting max 3.5 MBps forever… switching to a udp config file made my speeds jump to 20MBPS+ (i pay for gigabit intenet)
Not to mention them admitting to providing logs to authorities. No thanks!
Edit: I misunderstood and was ill informed. My statement is incorrect.
I got the nordvpn around 5 or 6 years ago. Was going to quit 2 years ago but I was too content with a working method that I subscribed for 3 years more. Download quantity was about 5-10 GB per week so I didn’t complain.
I’ve read a lot of criticism about nordvpn. I’ll look into AirVPN and Mullvad.
I have no issues at all with NordVPN. Download speeds frequently above 500Mbps, and unlike PIA they’re not based in a five eyes country.
Well let me tell you about my very disappointing download speeds using PIA with the wireguard protocol…
Necro as I saw another comment here. I download the ITconfig plugin for binhex-delugevpn and my speeds went from MAXIMUM 1-2Mbps to now up to 30Mbps. Literally now being limited by my read/write speeds.
I max out my bandwidth of 400Mbps no issues
Getting my ISP’s blistering max speed of 4MB/s. (Rural LTE). With Nord I was maybe getting 200Kbps
Correct me if I’m wrong, but this statement is misleading.
Per the PCMag article linked below, "The customer information NordVPN could hand over to agencies would also be limited to payment data and email address. ‘It is in no way related to user traffic.’”
Nord says, “…if a court order were issued according to laws and regulations, if it were legally binding under the jurisdiction that we operate in, and if the court were to reject our appeal, then there would be no other option but to comply. The same applies to all existing VPN companies if they operate legally. In fact, the same applies to all companies in the world.”
PricewaterhouseCoopers has audited Nord at least twice and confirmed the claims regarding their “no-log” policy are accurate. At the time of the first audit, they only held onto session data in 15-minute increments.

I have my full speed via pia vpn) and this is almost 1 gbps
Which endpoint are you using?
Did you have to tweak your Deluge settings at all??? I’m happy if I get 40 out of my 400 connexion…
I appreciate the clarification, I was incorrect in my statement.
Chicago/Toronto for the most part
Well, keep in mind torrents only can download as fast as your peers can share the files. But yes if im downloading a popular torrent, i have no issues maxing my network out
I personally use the app Transmission_VPN - This lets you fill in your PIA details and makes sure you are always connected.
I have my region set to us_east
