I did a few searches beforehand, but couldn’t find an exactly matching answer to my problem. I hope this is the correct sub for this.
I’m having problems using the iOS AdGuard app’s DNS blocking / filtering feature alongside the AdGuard VPN service.
I would like to be able to use the AdGuard app’s system-wide DNS filtering as well as the AdGuard VPN. I know this is tricky, because using DNS filtering as well as a VPN on iOS requires split-tunnelling and the IKEv2 protocol. But I figured if I’m using these products from the same company, it should at least be a bit easier.
ISSUE: When both the AdGuard DNS filter mode and the VPN are turned on, the phone keeps connecting and disconnecting at the same time as if the VPN profiles were competing with each other. Right now there are 3 VPN configs on the phone: ‘AdGuard’ (I assume this is the local VPN for the DNS filtering), + ‘AdGuard VPN’ (this must be the VPN) + ‘AdGuard VPN IPSec’.
(I thought maybe Private Relay is the issue so I turned it off, but it did not help.)

I had the same problem. After seeing what others had done, I reinstalled both the Adguard app and Adguard VPN, which fixed the problem.
However, that’s a bit of a hassle, so I tried something different on another device with the same problem, without uninstalling anything.
First, I disabled Safari and DNS protection, as well as Adguard VPN in the Adguard app. Then, I updated the filters two or three times. Finally, after re-enabling Safari and DNS Protection, and Adguard VPN, everything worked fine.

Thank you. To be frank, I had so many issues + the whole thing was so unstable that I eventually just gave up and resorted to only using the system-wide DNS blocking. But do keep me posted, please. If your solution proves reliable, I might give it a chance.
Yes, thank you. I’m aware of that. I’m using it in Integrated Mode. But the two VPNs cannot seem to be able to function at the same time.

I can relate to your frustration – I’d been struggling with this problem for months too. I really hope that what I’ve shared can be helpful to someone facing the same issue.
It’s working well so far. I’ll keep you posted if I hear of anything else.
I’ve just fixed it by deleting AdGuard Pro and reinstalling lol

Don’t forget to copy all you filters. I forgot to do that and realized after
