Any issues with using an VPN in China to access normal Roblox?

I’ve been using a VPN for a while now from a trip to China to access stuff blocked by firewall. Today I decided to try out playing on Roblox with this VPN, but a Chinese friend of mine said that will get me banned due to the rapidly changing IP because either that Roblox will think your account is compromised or that you are using a VPN going against community rules. Please tell me what I should do. Can I play Roblox in China with a VPN? Does that count as using an VPN to access a feature, which is apparently against the ruels or something?

TL;DR

Use Clash for Windows app “Tun mode”+Proxy provider with udp+GearUp booster (optional)+configure your computer firewall for roblox(if needed)

Use Clash apllication.(Search it on google and download the version with core, judging by file name.)

First find a proxy provider(copy and paste"机场udp" into Google search and you will find loads of them, most with English interface enabled), then buy proxy service based on your need, and finally the provider will give you a link which you need to paste in the Clash application.

After that you can download from the URL link and you will see a profile in the profile tab. Switch to it and select one of the routes in the proxies tab. (In most proxy providers’ case, there are country flags for each of the routes.) I suggest using Hong Kong servers, since it has less lag.

REMEMBER to ensure your route has the “udp” label under the country name. (Because Roblox uses udp ports)

Lastly, you need to ACTIVATE the proxy. Go to the main page of Clash, and turn on “Tun mode” (If it tells you to install core for it, follow instruction and download them)

DO NOT turn on “system proxy”. Because it will leak your real ip address to Roblox by not proxying your udp packets, which are essential to Roblox functionality. (search “WebRTC leak” if you want more information)

This method is cheaper and more commonly used in China than VPS, thus you can expect even customer service from the proxy providers, some of which even have telegram channels. You can ask them pre-sale for refund and billing cycle concerns. From my experience, most proxy providers only offer one-time billing services, that is to say, you bought a service with 200GB per month, the remains which you haven’t used will be DISCARDED before the next billing cycle begins. So, use as much as you want and choose a service size that is APPROPRIATE for you.

Edit: Yes, game boosters are more commonly used for foreign server games, but they require real-name verification, while it’s not a problem for most Chinese people(they don’t care about privacy), in your case as a foreigner, I suggest avoid leaking your identity to ANYONE(yes, every corporation from China has ccp branch in it for supervision). Thus, using proxy is the only way to go.

If you still want smoother experience, you can check GearUp Booster. It is a game booster that was born from the remnants after UU booster exited global market and handed their operation overseas to a foreign company. It doesn’t require real-name verification and can function as smoothly as Chinese game boosters, BUT it will check your ip on launch, refusing to give service to a Chinese ip. Therefore, resort to this after connecting to proxy, if you want to have a really smooth Roblox experience.

I’m kinda curious what vpn your using in the first place as Im in China is well but can’t find a good vpn and even with the vpn your using the shouldn’t be any problems as with me using multiple vpn connecting all over the place my account is still accessible

Would anything be different if I use MacOS? :joy_cat:
