Any suggestions on a free VPN?

If it’s free, you’re not the customer. You’re the product being sold.

Like the other guy said you won’t find a good free VPN.

Private Internet Access is who I use to keep my stuff hidden from my ISP/workplace so they’re good for that but if you’re planned on committing felonies I’d check elsewhere like off shore. PIA is like $39 a year. That’s roughly 10c a day.

VPNbook?

Strongly suggest splurging for a VPN. Most free VPNs track what you do; paid VPNS don’t. Free VPNs can sell your information to the companies at any time.

“Freedom isn’t free. It costs a heavy f*cking fee.”

Find the cheapest vpn that doesn’t keep logs, requires the least amount of info to create an account, and uses multiple forms of payment.

This is one of those cases where free is bad. Cheap can be okay - you may not need low latency, or high throughput.

If you aren’t directly funding the running costs, they still have to fund it somehow. Most of those methods will mean violating your privacy - sometimes extremely unethically, which defeats the whole point of using the vpn in the first place.

I like Tunnelbear for limited use, but as others have mentioned, you get what you pay for.

Are you using it for downloading or just to access sites that are blocked? If it’s for blocked content, I highly recommend https://getlantern.org/ Been using it for over a year, great for accessing blocked sites completely free.

Hola unblocker chrome extension is very good

Proxpn has a free tier. Limited to US exit node and a slow speed. Depending on what you’re using it for (not good for piracy) it could be an option.

A VPN is not something you should skimp on - PIA is good, and not expensive.

So many nice comments…but mostly actually so true…

Check this out (16 USD / yr)

I use PIA as well and I love it. They often have promo’s so be sure to keep an eye out; I signed up during a $30/year, definitely worth it!

If you configure uTorrent correctly with PIA, it will mask your torrent downloads. No more annoying letters from the ISP about what you downloaded, and no risk of losing your connection for downloading Game of Thrones for the 14th time, and Game of Bones XXX.avi
