i read on their forum and even they couldnt give a solution. only one client that said he logged to a different internet source(wifi)with his pc. i cant and dont know how to do it and afraid to mess it up, im not pc savy whatsoever. i cant even log into the fortiforum!!! it says weve sent you a recovery mail but nothing appears not even on the spam. im pissed off!!! i had to delete forticlient from my pc after almost 3 years and now i cant have it again. any help please??? i have windows 7(yes i god damn know it’s old and microsoft dont support it. please fucking spare me)
edit: should i allow forticlient via firewall? is that gonna help? if so, can i remove the allowance after and it will all be good? im super afraid to harm my computer so i dont take any steps yet
Why u afraid bro? Relax it’s all good in the cyber hood. U can go to forticlient.com and download it directly. Do u guys use ems? Get the ppa I think it is version, otherwise get forticlient vpn from that site, no need to login.
I had a similar case. The TAC only said that is a bug and i must upgrade the FGT. But in that Fortigate there are more custumer, so the upgrade wasen’t a possibility
im not in a company or anything. just a private dude on his own pc who had forticlient FOR YEARS cuz it helped him TREMENDOUSLY with his screen addiction
OP if you are required by your admin to use FortiClient you would need to contact your admin. He should be able to provide you the proper version.
Also he might be able - in case of EMS - to generate an invite mail to allow you to onboard.
B - Yeah, yeah, you don’t want to hear about Windows 7. That’s up to you. Just don’t be surprised if the software you try to install is possibly unhappy with it. After all, it was released 14 years ago.
dude for the past day im starting to realize more and more that mostly companies and stuff use forticlient. im just a dude on his own pc using forticlient for help with his severe screen addiction. thats all. i dont even know what an admins means in this case. fortlicent helped me so much god damnit i miss opening my pc in the morning and having sites blocked by forticlient. now it is all loose
thanks. the thing is the error message im getting is a complaint going on for years(at least 5 from what i saw)with other windows OSs
my screen addiction is so bad i dont wanna have all those commercials on windows 10 or 11 when clicking the windows button. i dont download stuff online and i use the pc solely for files and internet. i absolutely love windows 7 with all my heart and even when ill buy a new pc ima downgrade to it(well not me but a technician. idk shit about computers). so yeah
Try here instead. “FortiClient EMS” if you’re using EMS, or “FortiClient VPN Only” if you’re not. Won’t be the latest version but you can’t get that without a valid support contract for a FortiGate or FortiClient EMS as that error message above states.
