Hi Team, Is there a simple way ( for a simple man) to cast from a pc to a TV while using a VPN, I tried setting up a virtual VPN through change adapters in Network settings (windows 10) but got lost in the next steps.
Is there a need to change the network my TV and phone are connected to as well? Any help would be gratefully accepted

If you are casting your screen no worries you pc will be using your vpn and sending the data to the chromecast… If you are casting youtube from the phone app, the chromecast establishes its own network connection to the website so will not use a VPN running on your phone/pc.
If you want your chromecast to use a VPN you have to set it up on your router or, as is likely, if your router can’t be an endpoint you have to set up your own router inside your isp facing device and use that rather than the isp device for your internal networking (wifi/dhcp) so that everything then uses the VPN.
Setup your VPN connection on your firewall instead of on the network adapter in the OS.
Hi, yes the screen mirroring quality is mud so the help I need is a step by step for the PC if someone is able to assist
Its not something I have done… all my VPN experience is in inbound which is rather a different problem.
In concept what you have to do is get your Chromecast to connect to a device with the vpn end point on it, as the default gateway to the internet.
Unfortunately step by stepping that is kind of difficult as every network is different… especially when it comes down to routers & Wi-Fi.
Try a dedicated software instead, I used Baidu hotspot on windows 7 without any problem with Nordvpn, I don’t know if it’ll let you select Express VPN adapter though.
