Okay, so I know I am going to sound extremely dumb but I still have a question.
So at my school they give us these chromebooks, but signing into other wifis, google accounts or downloading etc. This led me to wonder if there would be any way at all to bipass the firewall to set up a VPN and or a proxy. If this is possible(Im sure it is)How would one achieve this goal.

I have the strange feeling that I misunderstand what you are actually asking.
when i was in school i used a socks5 proxy over ssh (it’s built in, with -D iirc) to bypass the firewall. super simple, just point your web browser to it and you’re off.
I am trying to get around my schools firewall and I dont know if it would end up working because chromebooks have trouble ruining exe files.
Okay I did get it right. The link shows how to do it. Looks like there is a built in OpenVPN client for example.
