I downloaded the SoftEther VPN Client Manager and set up a VPN connection but as soon as I connect I lose internet access. I have tried a fix that says to go into the properties of my VPN Client connection and disabling the default gateway connection. However, I do not have this box where it should be found.
Should be noted that I’m not good with computer stuff.
What operating system are you using? Try ping 8.8.8.8 in the terminal / command line.
If you get a response, it means your DNS isn’t working. If it doesn’t work, I have no clue either haha.
That happened to me with PIA the other day. On android device. Came on not long after. Try restarting the vpn in settings log out and log on after turning phone off and on.
Did you open the ports needed for the VPN to work? Ex. Port 80?
So guys I have been out yesterday the whole day and today the VPN works. I haven’t done anything to it, just connected to the same server.

Ok, press the windows key, search for command. You will find a tool with black background and a white bracket (I guess). Write ping 8.8.8.8 and press enter. Afterwards write ping reddit.com and press enter. Post the result here, then I can see whether the DNS works 
I think using CMD is way over this guys head.
