I am in China and would like to use Geforce now live streaming services to play some games that have SEA servers, since my pc is not strong enough to run these games.
Traditional vpn does not work, Geforce now still says that “we do not offer our services in this area” when I try to connect, but would Deeper connect pico allow me to connect? Would playing on it be veeyr lagy and high ping?
The Pico will absolutely work in China, but gaming with DPN/VPN is not always the most stable. You can pair your connection with the Netease UU, which is a gaming accelerator, as well as use the DPN to establish connections outside of China, and you will have a good setup going.
My recommendation is to use Smart Route on the Pico, and then Direct Route all the Netease UU Domains and you will have the best possible connection for China gaming
It will lag for sure though. Expect it. I don’t think dpn is the answer specifically for geforce now. I am using it since it started and the lag matters especially on shooter games.
I did mention that I am completely new to this so, in few words, could you please explain to me, if I buy it, how a Deeper connect Pico(or is there another product of yours that would suit me better?) would make Geforce now think I am in a different country(lets say I choose UK, can I choose?) when a VPN software that I use fails to trick Geforce now into believing I am elsewhere and restricts my acces to the Geforce now service.
If you have a home network like an apartment, I would recommend a Mini. The overall speeds are better as it’s a 1gbps pass through device.
The basic premise of the project is a Decentralized VPN and a network based on sharing. So you setup your device in China, and someone has one in Korea; you tunnel your internet traffic to Korea and use authentic Korean internet. It’s a VPN but not hosted by servers, it’s hosted by users.
So your GeForce will recognize that it’s in Korea, or wherever you choose, and then once you pair that with a gaming accelerator like UU, you can play online easily.
Currently I have helped setup users in China to router their PS5 to HongKong, as well as use UU to accelerate their games to USA for COD and Fortnite. It is a bit of a setup as you need to route domains properly, but it does work and once it’s setup you can just enjoy.
For areas like China, you can use “gaming accelerators” which is a VPN for games specifically. I have used this configuration very well and achieved 32ms ping to Japan or 120ms ping to USA. Which is infinitely better than the alternative, which is 9999999999999ms because a lot of games cannot be played.
