Did Hulu start enforcing an actual VPN block today?

Hello, I am using Hulu for well over a year now. I live in Germany, so naturally I use a VPN to connect to Hulu. But as of Today, no mater what I do, Hulu just won’t work on my Apple TV with NordVPN. All of my other devices work just fine, though. And yes I have changed the server a lot of times already, and I even bought my self a new VPN to check if it’s just a NordVPN issue, but no it affects all the servers and VPN’s I tried on my Apple TV. So did anyone here encounter a Similar problem on their Apple TV or with their VPN? And if yes, how did you fix it?

Here’s the catch-22 with a VPN: the more popular the VPN becomes, the more likely it is to be blocked by large streaming services.

I have Windscribe Pro and it is also very hit and miss with streaming services.

all depends Hulu doesn’t work on my iPhone,but works on my Nvidia Shield. you might want to try a proxy service… the offer a 7 day free trial period smartdns

Just got an error message as of an hour ago, tried Nord and Express. I watch Hulu the most of any streaming, I’m bummed.

I could be mistaken but I did see earlier today somewhere that the cause is apple tv not nord itself. Something to do with an update. Try a different device that’s not apple and it should still work.

Hello, I have Found two solutions to my problem. 1. Use Hulu through Disney+. This works but it’s not the best option and Hulu on Disney+ is even worse than the normal app.
2. But a dedicated IP address. This is expensive but seems to work for now. Though it’s not worth it for me since Hulu and American streaming services are expensive as they are. And as long my other devices work I do not see the need for that

Hulu doesn’t work for me. I also tried using Surfshark and that also appears to be blocked.

I’m having the same issue, but I’m using another VPN.

Cleared my cache and I use a dedicated IP. Not working as of about 15 hours ago.

Hi, I am also in Germany and got the same error since yesterday on my Apple TV. However when I watch on my iPad with Nord it seems to work.

I only try and use Hulu (live) in different locations within the US, Nord used to work like a charm but hasn’t for months now. Seems like the fun is over :confused:

Also just tried with both nord and surfshark this morning and still nothing. Max works for me but no matter what I try, can’t get Hulu.

I was having this same issue (also in Germany), and suddenly today it’s working! Try again?

Exact same issue, it appears to only be affecting Hulu, Max, and Disney. Add’l I cannot access the Max TV Provider (spectrum) as I’m running into 403 Forbidden. Any help here!

exact same problem today only on my Amazon Firestick though. Not on PC or Roku devices.

I also have an issue with Nord not working with a few services any idea if there are other services not working besides Hulu? My Prmnt+ isn’t working either. Tried a few different servers all not connecting .

Doesn’t work for me in Apple TV but it does work on iPhone. It may be an Apple TV problem.

Just happened on this thread, and can confirm it must be a Nord problem, because I know of at least one other VPN still working. Unfortunately that’s all I’m giving.
