Does using a VPN affect views?

Hi all.
I’ve been tiktoking it for a bit now.
I live in France but my content is in English.
For those who might not know, the French aren’t very good with languages and especially English.

I registered my tiktok account with a British Sim card and use a VPN to try to simulate that I’m posting from the UK.

Does the fact that I use a UK Sim actually help push my content in the UK rather than in France?

And can using a VPN negatively affect the way my videos are sent out to the Fyp?

If you’re using a UK sim and VPN together then your content will be pushed to the UK fyp, Just using a VPN will not work. I’d also check the statistics in tiktok settings, that will tell you where most of your views come from. The fatal error people tend to make when then use a different sim to, is they forget to switch off their local sim, this is only applicable to anyone that has a duel sim phone.

i’m wondering the same thing, all of my tiktoks consistently get 5k+ views when my friend from the us posts them and i just had a tiktok go viral, but i tried doing the no sim vpn method and i get no views not even from my followers

you need a us sim + vpn together.

so after that vpn video, did your next uploads also get 0 or did it get views?
