About to finish my last semester, up until this point I’ve been able to completely avoid using the printing system on campus. That’s no longer possible thanks to a very reading heavy finale. Can anyone provide a step by step guide on how to use the system or direct me to a resource that explains how to use the printers?
- go to this website https://itap.purdue.edu/papercut
- Download the software found on the “Mobility print” section
- Print normally and choose a printer called “itap-printing”
- Go to said website and release printing job, using “Mobile release”, to the desired printer location
Be aware that the software is buggy on android (You may find it working one day and not the other, and if you install and can’t print, leave it for a while and it’ll suddenly work) and has a decent chance of failing install on PC (but works fine afterwards).
Also: Papercut doesn’t work if you’re not on a campus network (PAL); if you’re trying to release from your phone and using data, it won’t work. If you’re trying to connect from off campus, you need to use a vpn.
