I was stuck at 300kb download speed, i tried several fixes.
I was told to try a vpn, i tried Proton vpn connected to a japan server from NA an downloaded the patch at 5mbs gg.
Can confirm - I’m already located in the US. But switching to US VPN allowed me to download at 28MBps…whole thing took 5 minutes.

Same here, West Coast. Switched to Japan on Norton VPN it finished the entire download in 8 minutes.
The speed increase is just a visual glitch, it ultimately evens out to the lowest speed.
