The VPN will not be available for Pixel 7 devices sold in India or Singapore
Can someone explain what is stopping them from providing it to these 2 countries? We are paying the same full price for the phone.

Thanks for posting this. I wondered why the option wasn’t available.
Will this VPN be available on other devices? For instance as a plugin in chrome or Firefox? Better yet, for use on Android TV?
Will this only be free in December or even after for the pixel 7 owners?
Thanks!
Most VPNs have the ability to change country. Personally, Google’s VPN will only be worth me using if it matches the basic features of those other VPNs
Google has one of the best networks worldwide and a proper anonymous implementation so their VPN is good.
If you’re assuming it’ll help with things like geo blocking I would suggest not to be hopeful.
Is it free or free with a twist?
Google explains that the free offering “does not impact the price or benefits of Google One Premium plans” for those already on the 2TB+ plan. This is the simple implementation route, but a plan discount would have been nice.
Any idea how this VPN differs from the one offered by Google Fi?
For Fi subscribers, is the Google One VPN any different/better than the included Google Fi VPN?
it only affects us by devaluing the plan for which we’ve already paid/pay them; they should either give a discount to Google One for those with Pixel 7s or, at the very least, allow us to use the service on desktops and laptops (other than chromebooks).
How did you get the $1 discount? I have Fi and still pay the $10.
Cat pictures. You have a lot of cat pictures.
Security whenever you’re on a public network.
Getting around blackout when live streaming sports. And watching the Brazilian version of Netflix
Security when using public wifi.
The first 3 the Google VPN allows. For the last two, you would need a different VPN service.
Hopefully it’s based on WireGuard but I doubt it.
