I don’t know why no one ever brings up NetGuard. The GitHub version has filtering that can adblock, and it can do a lot more.

You could use Rethink DNS app to set private DNS (the one you prefered) to block ads and even add some rules to block certains domaine / urls etc.

I’ve trying proton vpn on my phone recently (switching with duck app track blocker) and i read about this a few times… And i still don’t understand it
Where do you get those alternative DNS? What’s the use? Do you use both at the same time?
