I logged in today and got a 10-year ban. I’m surprised by this. I am barely a 1.2kd player in warfare. I scrape by in operations.
No cheats installed or ever cheated in FPS games. Is it because I use a VPN while playing? I travel a lot and am in Vietnam currently, and I had to use a VPN to be able to play the game.

I read that there is software you can’t run while playing. As a developer, sometimes I alt-tab for a quick gaming session with some other stuff open. Possible culprits, but I am not sure, are API monitor or process monitor, but I don’t think I had them open while playing. Or even WSL, which runs in the background all the time—which is technically a VMware running in the background. Also am quite sure it was my window manager glazewm that uses AHK. Forgot to switch that off before gaming.
While I do agree on the policy on being tough on cheaters. I hate them in BF1 and 5 which sometimes sucks ass due to cheaters. It is not fun being labeled a cheater when you are not. I don’t even cheat in single player games and my steam account is 20 years old without a ban or issue in any game. Any way thanks for the comments
I was also wrongfully banned about a week ago. Was only 24 hrs but still, same as you, I did nothing wrong. My score is average and couldn’t be bothered with cheats. When I appealed they initially just said, “the system doesn’t lie” lmao like yeah, okay, that’s why so many more are also experiencing this. Thankfully they haven’t banned me again but if it does happen I’m just dropping the game. It’s free so means nothing if I keep it or it
Cheating is cheating, it doesn’t matter what you use as long as it gives you an advantage over other players. It’s like that, or you’re lying and you used more than a VPN
I got my 10 year ban a little over two weeks ago. Been trying to appeal it but so far it’s gone nowhere. Seems like I’m seeing the number of these posts picking up, which is no surprise. Maybe soon they’ll realize they are banning random people who did nothing wrong.
Salut, j’ai récemment voulu commencer le jeu aussi, j’ai fais une partie de guerre terrestre, j’ai fermer par la suite et voulu rejouer quelque jour après et en me reconnectant j’ai pris un bann de 10 ans alors que je n’es fais qu’une seule partie et même pas deux heures sur le jeu, je n’es pas de logiciels tiers ou malveillant, pas de VPN, la seule chose c’est « insight capture » et « overwolf » j’ai contacter leur support mais ils m’ont fais comprendre que la décision ne changeras pas, a voir au futur si de plus en plus de personnes se plaignent de ça
Got a 10year ban as well yesterday, and I think the culprit was my recent installed software Razer Central for my mouse, I didn’t even had a macro setup, just a remap so i can play Ragnarok with one hand, lol. Regardless Macro or remap, it will not help you aim to head so why?!
I feel you, being labeled as cheater when you are not. So people out there beware of Razer softwares, I’m not sure could be other temp monitoring software I have but I had those before Razer and was able to put 20+hrs into this game without issue.
I got banned too,and really dont know why. Im a crap player,im play for fun. Probably for some similar reason like you. I have cloud/synology/ thats all. no VPN
I was also banned for 10 years. I have all the drivers/working programs/ and the game itself on my PC. The support said that they will review the case again. So far I have been waiting for 6 days. In the game, I have a KDA of 0.8, and 34% wins, that is, I am far from an eSportsman and even further from a cheater. More than $300 has been donated to the game. Maybe they are luring so that a new account is created and more donations come, I don’t know. Out of 10 games, in 3 I die 100% from a cheater, but I never received messages that I successfully reported someone. That is, their anti-cheat blindly bans people, bypassing cheaters that have protection
I use gearup booster to play with friends overseas. It’s kind of a VPN and let’s you connect steam and the selected game directly to one of their servers to minimize latency. In alpha I had no latency issues playing with friends overseas and although it was tough, it was doable. Since the beta release my latency is 300+ Ms and with gearup I can get it down to 190ms.
I have absolutely no benefit other than making the game playable. When I play local my ping is 25ms and I’ll do much better but I just enjoy teaming up with my buddies and will take the lower score and KD accordingly.
