I’m using a VPN and connecting to a local IP address. But I noticed that Google is using that IP to pinpoint my general location. Is there any easy way to obscure that information?
Using a VPN is a good start, but Google can still gather location info through other means like cookies or your browser’s fingerprint. To better hide your IP, try using privacy-focused browsers like Tor, clear your cookies regularly, or use a browser extension that blocks trackers. Consider turning off location services in your Google account settings, and using incognito mode to reduce tracking.
‘General location’ and ‘pinpoint’ are two different and opposite things. Your location is already obscured. If you want it more obscure connect to a different server location.
