Needed a way to watch NBA league pass without blackouts and Surfshark was recommended by many sites and people. It worked okay in the beginning though it was slow.
Lately it’s been getting worse and worse with many international locations like India and Mexico using “virtual” VPNs.
I now can’t connect to NBA.com at all with just about any server outside the US. Customer support just told me “It seems that only US NBALeaguePass is unlocked” and that he’d forward a request to unlock more servers.
Total waste of money. Lesson learned. Don’t ever buy long subscription to save money.
I’ve had Surfshark for years. I’ve used it in Thailand, France, England (as I travel between the three often.) and use it to stream everything from League Pass (Clippers fan) to F1 and have never had any issues. It could possibly be your ISP. They can block your VPN if it is breach of your contract with them.
Although I don’t have your issues, that I’m aware off I have to agree with you. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY! SS is totally and utterly useless and the so called tech support team are a complete waste of space, they don’t have a clue and completely send you round in circles.
I have had issues now for well over 6 months and I have spoken yo god knows how many people in the support team, everyone one keeps asking what the issue is because they have not taken the time to read the email and not one actually understands or even knows what to do. Basically I’ve been told all my issues are normal, so, they are confirming themselves that the service and app is a total bag of crap!

I’m glad I’m not the only one. I should have known something was up when I got a “deal” for $50 for 3 years. Too good to be true - it never worked for me.

I often have trouble getting streaming sites to work, even YouTube often has errors. Google searches often result in me having to verify I’m human
I have the exact same problem as you with the India virtual server not being able to handle NBA league pass games. Super choppy and laggy. I hope that they somehow are able to fix this. If not I won’t be renewing. Which is unfortunate as up until recently I have been happy with the service. It really fit my needs. Surfshark staff if you are reading this please let us know if this is being worked on.
Such silly things to complain about… a lot of sites and businesses are banning IPs and VPNs from using their website and or services. Surfshark is going to be another casualty to some of these types of websites. One VPN may work for a while up until their IP department bans it…
The true blame here is the removal of Net Neutrality, you want this to go away? Start by revitalizing the movement to reinstate Net Neutrality.

I am in Colombia for a vacation and can watch my shows on my laptop with no issues.
You might have to try different servers as when a streaming service figures it out they will block it.
Yeah. They pretty much admit that their service is just working normally which just means that they aren’t aware/care about any issues.

Same here. League pass isn’t working with surfshark vpn anymore. Has anyone tried a different vpn?
