the school internet works well but blocks most things, and if you try cellular, even near a door leading outside the services doesn’t/barely works. i’m not sure it is a cellular blocker my school is using, and i’m not asking for confirmation. i’m asking how to get around one (maybe install smth on my phone?)
It’s not a cellular blocker. That’d be super illegal (in the US at least). A lot of schools (and other large non-residential buildings) just have bad reception.
Most schools are built using concrete bricks or CMU. These notoriously block cell service. If you’re looking for something to bypass school WiFi, try installing Betternet or Hotspot Shield on your phone. These vpns work the best. Be careful though, it might be against school policy.
Large steel frame buildings, like schools, have poor reception.
Cell phone blockers are illegal.
Have you considered putting the phone away and appreciating the multimillion dollar school and the dozens of adults that are attempting to prepare you for the future?
