How to redeem Argentinian Xbox gift cards while in Australia?

I recently purchased two 300ARS gift cards for the Argentinian Xbox store under the belief that I would be able to:

A) Switch the locale on my Xbox One X to Argentina and redeem the codes to buy a game/s

Or

B) Use a VPN and access the Xbox store on a computer and change the store region to Argentina, redeem codes and buy game/s.

Neither of these actually worked and they have worked previously when I have redeemed US gift cards.

I spoke with Xbox support about this last night and was completely honest about the situation. They said to change my region to Argentina. I advised them that I was actually in Australia and was unable to do it after I got errors. They manually changed my region to Argentina under the belief that it would fix the issue. It didn’t. I then got told the standard response of wait 24 to 72 hours and it should work. Happy to wait but I don’t believe it will help.

Just hoping that anyone here could potentially provide any insight. My issue is redeeming the gift cards, I haven’t even gotten to the purchase side of things yet. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I usually just redeem them on the Microsoft Argentina page without a VPN.

The other day I was getting a ‘Contact Microsoft’ error when redeeming a code. I used a VPN and it worked. First time I had to do so.

UK here, do it chrome browser. You can’t add the codes before trying to buy.

You have to try and purchase the item first it will ask you to enter a credit card or redeem a code

Hey dude I’m trying to redeem a Turkish gift card I bought but every time I try to redeem it I’m directed to seek Microsoft support even though everything is set to Turkish and I did what you said

Any reason why this isn’t working for me?

Think Turkey requires VPN , i only use US, UK and argentina
