I recently purchased two 300ARS gift cards for the Argentinian Xbox store under the belief that I would be able to:
A) Switch the locale on my Xbox One X to Argentina and redeem the codes to buy a game/s
Or
B) Use a VPN and access the Xbox store on a computer and change the store region to Argentina, redeem codes and buy game/s.
Neither of these actually worked and they have worked previously when I have redeemed US gift cards.
I spoke with Xbox support about this last night and was completely honest about the situation. They said to change my region to Argentina. I advised them that I was actually in Australia and was unable to do it after I got errors. They manually changed my region to Argentina under the belief that it would fix the issue. It didn’t. I then got told the standard response of wait 24 to 72 hours and it should work. Happy to wait but I don’t believe it will help.
Just hoping that anyone here could potentially provide any insight. My issue is redeeming the gift cards, I haven’t even gotten to the purchase side of things yet. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
