Every Youtuber and Streamer says VPN gets you easier lobbies. Theres No Lag VPN etc etc.
So I tried it myself using Nord VPN. When I connect to South Africa for example, the game shows me in the settings that my region is South Africa, but I still only meet people from my region as if it had no effect at all. The lobbies are exactly the same. Can anyone explain that to me?

I’m not sure now but I think you have to use a different VPN and use it different then you are using it but VPN to break SBMM is cheating IMO and if you gain better stats or what the hell you’re goal is, it’s only fake and you’re lying to yourself but that’s non of my business
The “VPN” pricks use to break SBMM isn’t a VPN in the traditional sense.
I read a post on here when the game released that said something about Activision disabling connection filtering and the big VPN’s like Nord and others. Like the systems can detect it. Players weren’t able to find lobbies when they had it on and/or their ping was ridiculously high and took forever to connect and then kicked them from games. I vaguely remember somebody mentioning codvpn whatever that is. Either way I would be careful just in case they have a way of tracking those things. If they are disabling VPN usage then your account could be at risk if you use one. Not 100% on that but why risk it.

Nord won’t cut it man. You need that special shit, I’m talking high quality top shelf shit. When you done with that weak shit Jgod did a video on the proper way to vpn. Also just get better at the game. Cod isn’t hard.
You’re really dumb if you’re trying to VPN to South Africa🤣 I guarantee you will get walked over and struggle even more than if you stayed in your own region
They have always had a hybrid matchmaking system - but with the boom of VPN usage, the matchmaking is going back to something like black ops 1 now…
Checklist:
Connection speed- ping>download>upload
Location of server farms you connect to normally
Physical connection
Crossplay on/off
Squad fill on/off
So if I have a great connection and I live in the midwest, I can go east or west. Depending on who I play with/how many (using the checklist) we might end up in a mom got me this for Xmas late lobby in british colombia…or a G fuel tournament in Britain.
If your in America - have you noticed playing with people from the UK and France A LOT more in the past month or two? I have - and they say the same.
