yeah freedom is dangerous !
Not sure if you can fight it, but, do they have any explicit policy or rule that you violated?
A lot of school admin types are all about authority but very lacking in knowledge and reason.
I see you all did advanced shit on school computers back in the day…
The best I did was setting Serverus Snape as the background picture on every machine of the computer’s room
someone else did for for enabling dev mode
whats next? changing the wallpaper? its a fuckin computer do they not know how to fix it
why do schools even try to be HiP aNd CoOl WiTh ThE kIdS? the only reason i got exited when i found out some schools were doing it is because i get hand fatigue easily
wow i got really pissed off there wtf
Richard Stallman should be in this meme hahahahahaha
WTF is a Windows Chromebook?
Or is “chrome book” in the title just meant to read netbook?
In light of all the negativity, I brought a USB stick to middle school once and booted into it on an iMac in the computer lab in around 2009. The teacher was quite interested in it, really.
How, uh… How did you boot to the USB on a chromebook? asking for a friend
then we got my school that does not give a shit because the students are too retarded to figure out how anything works.
How did you get past the school enrollment security thing on it?
My school has the chromebooks provisioned so that dev mode is disabled.
I managed to make a local admin account on my IT class computer (we were forced to use windows). The teacher didn’t care, because he knew I wouldn’t do anything stupid. He just didn’t want most of the other people in the class to have admin
Wait… your chromebook was running windows?
In my robotics class, my teacher gave me a bad score on the first assignment because I used Netbeans and notepad++ to write C++ and then saved the final code as a C file. she complained that she couldn’t compile the code using MinGW and I told her to try running the code in Netbeans and she didn’t even try and gave me an F on the assignment anyway. So I gave up, installed Windows 10 (I was in the middle of transitioning to Linux using my Raspberry Pi and Raspbian Linux as a steppingstone OS) and I got MinGW running and from then on, I got almost 100% on all of the remaining assignments. Recently, I almost got to run Linux Mint full time until I realized that I couldn’t run half the programs I needed for school because they weren’t supported on Linux and I needed to buy a new copy of Windows 10 for my new computer.
Suspended? Shit, I’d hire someone with that on their resume.
I wonder, is it really that dangerous to have pirated software on windows?,like, seriously, Who is gonna watch you and monitor what you install?
the university i studied at, they have a private web page in the official website that can only be accessed if you’re connected to the inner network at the campus. this page has all the needed software packages for the students to download, w/ CRACKS. Adobe, Office, windows, AutoDesk… etc.
You booted it off an USB stick?
When you have to upload a word or PowerPoint file ![]()
