Is it possible to make an instance of firefox (similar to tor browser) which only runs on a selected vpn? I want to make a firefox instance which runs only once it is connected to my tailscale server to manage my server.
Yes. In fact, Mullvad has done exactly that, by creating a Firefox version similar to Tor browser but for use with a VPN service. Not necessarily Mullvads own VPN, if I understand correctly. (I use Mullvad VPN anyway, so I haven’t looked into the support for other VPNs. But it is what I had understood when they launched their browser, last year.)
Edit: it does indeed support other VPN services: “It doesn’t have to be Mullvad’s VPN either; if you use another service you trust, or if you have made your own then you can use that.”
