I JUST FOUND A FIX GUYS. Another guy on another post just helped me out ALOT. This has been driving me crazy for weeks but it finally works. Go to settings, press on celular or WiFi settings and scroll down until you see WiFi Assist, if it’s on, turn it off. This automatically tells your iPhone to stop automatically switching between your amazing cellular data and your okay wifi whenever it feels like it.
Hey, I am on an iPad Pro and I have the same issue, wifi constantly disconnects. Been happening ever since the latest iPadOS update I think. Usually it works better after a restart, but it’s very frustrating indeed. I hope it’s something that will get fixed on 18.
Both my wife and I are having the same problem after updating to the latest iOS: wifi connectivity blows. The phone/iPad connects to our wifi network but cannot access the internet. However, when we switch to 5G, no problem. And wifi connectivity for other, non-iOS devices (desktops, streaming boxes, doorbells, etc.) is all fine, without issue. Something in the latest iOS version borked wifi connectivity. Plain and simple. [iOS 17.5.1, iPadOS 17.5.1]
To everyone still having this issue, I tried this and it seems that it’s working better:
So go to your Wi-Fi, select the “i” icon on your wifi network, then scroll down till you see “Configure IP” under IPV4 section, it should be set to Automatically, try setting it to “BootP”. This should do was mentioned above in which it stops your iPhone from using DHCP which is like a dynamic IP to a static IP, it should work the same but it may help with your problem. So far I noticed that it’s working better than before
My wife’s iPhone 13 PM could not stay connected to WiFi in our home. She had this problem despite multiple devices and 2 phones always staying connected to a strong mesh signal.
Long story short, at one time we had cell service from Google Fi. They offered a free VPN that was a downloaded app and you could turn it on or off by itself.
We left Google Fi and signed up with Mint. This was, in hindsight, when her connectivity Wi-Fi issues started. We rebooted, reset, changed settings, started over etc etc etc.
Turns that the Google Fi VPN app was causing the wonky Wi-Fi connection for her. I deleted it from the phone and the wi6hss been solid and strong for nearly a week now.
I don’t know why the conflict exists but this was the problem for her.
This worked for me thank you! I am on an XR and it was driving me crazy constantly disconnecting even though the wifi on my laptop was constantly connected. It’s so odd that the setting is so far down in cellular though, kinda of a poor design if you ask me. Have to scroll past all the apps that use cellular to get to the setting.
