I’ve been using Spectrum’s security suite on my laptop for a couple of years. I also have windows security and I was reading a post saying you should have on Real-time protection. Windows security doesn’t let me turn that on because “you’re using other antivirus providers”. I’m just wondering if I should get rid of Spectrum’s security suite and go with windows security instead.
From what I read, Spectrum’s AV is F-Secure rebranded which, uses Avira’s AV engine.
Personally if I was going to use a rebranded AV engine, I would use something that uses Bitdefender’s AV engine or Bitdefender free instead of a rebranded use of Avira’s AV engine.
Spectrum is using F-Secure’s database, and so Avira’s one too. Pretty decent, better than Windows Defender imo, but Kaspersky/BitDefender/ESET remain the best.
