On a mac. Im guessing they have that it blocked? I have admin access on the computer so I was wondering if there was anything i could change on the computer? but Im guessing its just blocked through their internet.
I have to go though a vpn to connect to mine. Likely your schools firewall. I wouldn’t mess around with their firewall, but you could try connecting to Pasec through a VPN. Will add some lag, but it’s playable for me.
I had the same problem when streaming over 4G. Solved it by open the needed ports on the host sides firewall. Maybe works for you as well…
Set parsec to use port 80 or 443
be careful about changing things on a school computer because most of the schools have policies about computer use and you could be kicked out or even held criminally responsible
It might be that it’s your schools VPN that isn’t allowing it or that they have the port for remote desktop closed because I know that’s the case with mine. The way I got around it was I used my VPN on their network although I don’t know whether there’ll be too much lag because I just tested it to see if I could do it
