These companies will go out of business well within your lifetime .
Well if you’re expecting to use it for your lifetime then obviously you’re gonna get a hell lot of disappointment. Usually the “lifetime” part in those deals refer to the lifetime of the company so if someone paid $40-50 and got to use it for a year before the provider closes shop then its paid itself already, and past that if any are bonus free usage.
My VPN company has stayed in business for 2+ years since I bought their lifetime subscription, so I’m already doing better than I would by paying monthly. Same with my web-hosting service.

Within your lifetime is too long. Even if they are around for six months, it will be close to miracle.
