I’m reaching out here because I’ve been struggling to get any meaningful support from Playdemic regarding a serious issue. I’ve had four Golf Clash accounts banned recently, collectively worth over $5000. Despite reaching out to support multiple times, I’ve only received generic AI responses and no clear explanation for the bans.
The only potential issue I can think of is an incident where I accidentally logged into the same account on two devices, one of which was connected to a VPN (used for Netflix). If this was flagged as suspicious, it was an honest mistake, and I’m more than willing to correct it.
I’m hoping someone here might be able to help me get in touch with a real Playdemic support representative or share advice on how to escalate this issue. I’ve always enjoyed Golf Clash and invested a lot of time and money into my accounts, so this situation is incredibly frustrating.
You will almost certainly not be given a reason why the accounts were banned. This is because from their POV you’ve broken some rules, and if they tell you what you’ve done it’s possible you can work out what you did wrong to get caught and could tell other people how to avoid detection or do a better job of avoiding detection yourself next time.
Technically, after the first account ban, it’s against the TOS to play on your other accounts circumventing the ban.
So… there’s that.
Best of luck figuring out what happened to your first account ban. EA doesn’t like VPNs and if you bought any of that $5000 while using a vpn: if it discounted your purchase due to a change in region then that’s against the TOS.
I would blame the VPN . Any fraud detection they might be using will likely raise a flag as you are disguising your location / identity. This happens with bank apps all the time. They should be able to review and make a decision, but they may just end the relationship because the time it takes to review manually is an additional cost for them.
I’d be surprised if it was VPN, many players use them. Also were you given a flag previously or did they just go straight to ban because usually there’s warnings first. I hope you recover yours, you’re definitely going to have to reach out by other means than in game. Also everyone should screenshot their account ID in the settings tab in case they have issues, it’s easier to find
Yet another reason to keep your account FTP. Not to stay I wouldn’t be livid if this happened to me and an ftp account certainly has value but if I was also spending a shitload on ball packs I’d be even more fucking pissed.
If the account(s) holds monetary value (as in the case of GC a stock of unused, paid balls) I don’t think they can legally just ban the owner without explanation. If you’ve honestly done nothing wrong (logging in on the same account on different devices using VPN on one is not against T&C) I’d suggest to send them a letter threatening to lawyer up and sue them unless the accounts are reactivated or a valid reason including evidence of wrongdoing is provided.
