Ever since the latest server update, I am having issues with IPTV freezing after a couple of minutes. Troubleshooting led me to disabling vpn and everything working fine, nobody wants a disabled vpn. I also tried multiple locations. Chicago, Boston, and Dallas. I deleted all vpn credentials and started from scratch, same issue.
I have had zero issues for two years…
I have yet to try switching to IKEV2 or a different vpn type.
Check your IPTV site for a list of whitelisted VPNs, My last provider doesn’t have windscribe listed for whatever reason so I had to PM support every so often the IP of the server I plan to watch from so they could whitelist it.
If you don’t mind PM me who you use if they are taking new subs.
I had this exact same issue about a month ago. I’m using an Nvidia Shield and Onn 4k Streaming Boxes. All using wireguard, Streaming enabled on my profile. Tried several cities and would work but kept freezing every few minutes. Tried a different vpn (ipvanish) and no issues since
We’ve not replaced any servers in Chicago. In Boston and Dallas, we’ve only added locations (Harvard and Trinity) without replacing any existing locations. I fail to see how this might be related to the 10 Gbps server upgrades.
Looks like it is tied to the unlock streaming option. Prior to the issue I had it on for two plus years, last week my IPTV starting freezing after 1-3 minutes. As noted above, someone mentioning turning that off. My IPTV now works fine and oddly enough Disney + works in Chicago, but does not work on Boston MIT. Disney thinks I am in Canada when on Boston MIT.
To fix the issue I have my IPTV boxes on Chicago and the rest of my network on boston MIT. Everything is working as it should, at the moment.
Sadly, it stopped working again today. All video freezes for IPTV after 1-2 minutes. Looks like I’ll be finding a new service. Since when do VPNs block IPTV….
I just switched over to IKEV2 and it is working as normal but with the slower speeds. I guess this is fine for now but why is wireguard cutting my IPTV???
What streaming services are you using? If it’s Amazon Prime, Disney+, or Netflix, you can use split tunneling so the VPN is not blocked on these services.
