This is a new one for me!
Been using TiVimate for a few years now. Always worked well - with or without enabling a VPN.
Due to recent what seemed to be ‘crackdown’ on iptv here in Montreal, I enabled VPN on all devices. IPVanish on Firestick
I would connect to a US-based VPN server and both TiViMate as well as my iptv providers
worked just fine.
Until Today - TiViMate returns error 403 when connected to VPN. But works fine when NOT connected! Tried on various channels.
tv app, works regardless.
I am using same playlist and EPG for both.
Read thru most if the ‘403’ posts here and tried everything I can - without deleting and installing Tivimate again.
Again, works fine when NOT connected to VPN. When I am, it does not!

Found issue! Change VPN protocol from Wireguard to OpenVPN!
Not sure why blocks using Wireguard.
WAS having different issues earlier and cleared data…suspect that reset IPVanish to ‘default’ Wireguard.
Sounds like your provider is blocking the connection though VPN. If it was working fine before, maybe they made changes in the panel. Try contacting them and ask them to allow the use of VPN. But before make sure your VPN connection is working fine in other apps and it’s not causing any issues.
Sometimes mine will only work with VPN other times I have to turn it off. Strange but no biggie
Curious. Wouldn’t you only need to use the VPN when the crackdown actually begins and you can no longer use your subscription anymore?
Some providers are VPN-friendly and some are not. Tivimate is not the culprit. Get a different provider. At least that’s what my friend who uses these services said.
Some providers also have built in vpns and doubling up will slow or stop a connection.
Nope…this is not the solution! Worked for a while and then disable lan access. That caused it to loop out once again. Not working😡
Connection with VPN works fine using
default app. Not working with VPN using TiViMate.
My provider actually recommends TiVimate and supplied both the playlist and EPG. it’s worked pretty well for the longest time. Never got a 403 error due to it.
Got it all to work once again but do not know what caused it nor how it started working again. Watching now with VPN enabled with no issue. Wouldn’t work this morning.
Stop.mentioning your shitty providers here. Give back and edit all your pists that mention thr name. Read thr group rules
There you go💩 You let me know if I’ve broken any other rules, or missed any other offending words.
And/or offended anyone.
u/Connect-Beginning-65 I have ipvanish and have used tiviMate. Like you say, worked fine for me. AFAIK ipvanish doesn’t block any websites…maybe try clearing your cache for tiviMate and ipvanish and try connecting with OpenVPN tcp.
Not familiar with IPVanish, but many VPNs allow you to set the protocol. Wireguard seems to generally be best for streaming, but you may also have better luck with OpenTCP. Long story short, try changing protocols if you continue to have issues.
