Onn 4K Pro outside USA?

I’m planning to buy the Onn 4K Pro in South Asia. But the website says that it’s for USA and Puerto Rico only. Is there something like region lock where the device won’t setup at all, or will everything work normally outside USA? I just need it to run YouTube.

Yeah, anyone used it outside of US? What is your experience?

Works fine in Canada. Using a vpn for Google channels.

Use it in the UK and other than Live tv not working at all, the button doesn’t even do anything it runs fine. I bought it myself in the USA and whilst it’s decent wouldn’t reccomend paying more than the retail price

You can most likely get the Google tv channels using a vpn but I don’t use them so chose to just remap the buttons using an external app

I’m using it in Sri Lanka. It work perfectly.

Works fine. On initial set up just click USA as your country. Once you have your Google credentials put in it will work. The blue button does nothing even with a VPN on. Install a vpn and set to USA and the Live tab will appear on top. Loads of free US channels then.

Using the ONN 4K in Ireland with NordVPN, works fine.

I use ONN 4K PRO BOX in England, UK and it works fine for me and I’m well pleased with it. Had to get BBC iPlayer, ITVX, and CH4 from another source to get them working. I have Launcher Manager and Wolf Launcher installed so when I turn it on all I see is my Apps icons and a nice forest photo I set as a background. It’s much better than my Firestick.

I am using it from Turkey. Ui not same with US. if you use vpn, free live tv with pluto tv app access appears.

But in my country just Home-App-Library seen. It is same as other android box. Other box not shows in Turkey too.

I install projectivy launcher as default launcher so it is not bother me.

One important difference for me if you use in English ui, handsfree google assistant works but in Turkish just remote mic button trigger assistant to use Google Asistant. Don’t know other language. So in your country maybe it works too.

I use 2 in my home in Mexico they work just ike the one’s I use in my home the USA go for it it will be no problem PS there are some things GEO block use a vpn

did you have to get a particular power adapter…based in ireland too it has the US plug but I’m concerned it will blow as US to Ireland need more than an adapter

Both models (ONN 4K [5V] and ONN 4K Pro [12V]) have [100V-240V] power supplies you can use in Ireland/UK with a regular US-to-UK adapter such as this.
My wall sockets have USB ports, such as these.
Instead of the ONN power supply, I use that USB port to feed 5V to my ONN 4K, using a USB-A to mini-USB-B cable such as this.
(My cable actually came from a Amazon Firestick).
