[question] website not loading and VPNs?

i’m trying to download this app on android and i turned on a free VPN with the server set to canada so i could download this without risking any legal trouble. however, when i try to visit the website, it won’t load because there’s something wrong with the connection. please help! also, if i can get this app installed, will i always need to turn on a vpn whenever the hacked spotify is in use? thank you

Use protonvpn or something more trustworthy. Most likely the vpn server is under heavy load or isn’t configured properly.

You don’t need to worry about legal trouble for downloading an APK. Don’t bother with a VPN for this part. This isn’t a torrent.

When you sign up for an account and use a vpn make sure it is on in the same country or they will eventually nag you and shut your account down. If I were you I’d not use one unless you normally listen to music outside your region.

Personally I’d recommend looking for a Deezer Beta APK mod because it offers a smoother experience that doesn’t require much configuration.

Good luck.

thank you for all this advice  i tried shutting off my VPN and revisiting the website and it’s still showing connection issues, so i guess it wasn’t related to the VPN. when you suggest the deezer beta APK mod, is that an alternative to xmanagerapp? sorry if any of these questions are common sense/knowledge, i’m new to pirating lol

When you’re talking about website connection issues, is it that you can’t create a new Spotify account? Try using a different browser if your connection isn’t a problem.

Deezer is a different music service, however it usually works better than Spotify. xManager is just a gateway to installing modded Spotify.

I noticed xManager released a new app update, you should see if that may fix your problem. If it works I recommend installing Spotify Lite which usually works well. (my Samsung phone cannot uninstall the original Spotify, so this is my only option)

The Deezer Beta Mod APK can be found on modded apk reddit forums or a quick online search will help you find it. Maybe try this if Spotify really doesn’t wanna work??

If those somehow don’t help, you can try downloading an app (it’s on github online) called ViMusic. It’s pretty much youtube music for free - high quality downloads, no ads, background play, no ads.

Also it isn’t a problem, no worries. I’m still learning about new things too
