no matter what I try Roon does not work when Atlas VPN is on. Even when I first turn it off and then on again to start Roon, it will immediately crash when VPN is on. VPN support could not help me.

What’s your use-case here?
Roon is meant to be accessed via the LAN (local network) if you need external access, then Roon ARC is the tool for that.
If you’re using a VPN for ‘online privacy’ why, in Roon’s case?
I have the Roon app on my windows PC, it takes music from hard drive and TIDAL. Then just plays.
PC is also used to browse the web, watch movies and youtube on big screen
Right. So you have the server on your PC too.
Does Atlas VPN have the option to exclude certain applications? If so, that’s what I’d be doing.
Other options would be to put the server on a different machine, or even in a VM on the same box.

Doesnt look like there is such an option. It worked perfectly with other VPNs, maybe that’s the problem.
