SonicOS 6.5 updated to latest firmware. The Windows Client simply says “The network connection could not be found”. It was working fine yesterday. Rebooting doesn’t help.
Any Ideas?

Mobile Connect ?
If you’re using Mobile Connect, you’re out of luck like the rest of us. It’s already been deprecated years ago but Sonicwall only took now to seriously disable it. You, like us, have no other option but to switch to NetExtender unless you want to revert to previous firmware version and leave your Sonicwall open to vulnerabilities.
I’m glad I researched the update before hand.
Thanks. Switching to NetExtender resolved the issue.
Not completely true ….
SSLVPN access when using with mobile connect application breaks after upgrading to 6.5.4.15 irrespective of whether you are using a windows or Mac machine.
For windows , support recommends to use Netextender cause Mobile Connect ain’t supported anymore on Windows.
For Mac or ios , just ask support for the Hotfix mention in the article .
That hotfix will fix the issue for both Mac and windows
The hotfix firmware re-enables MobileConnect, though?
If it is deprecated then what will they expect Mac users to use once it’s gone?
True, but then you’ll be relying on it not being broken again in the future. I’d rather shift now than rolling the dice. But, depending on his needs, maybe the hotfix is better for him indeed.
It does. The hotfix resolves the issue for MobileConnect.
Deprecated for Windows only …
They should have deprecated net extender, it’s a shit vpn client. Mobile connect at least somewhat integrated with the OS gui. I guess they’re slowly trying to push everyone to their subscription ZTNA offering.
