hey i tried to send you a “private direct message” , can you please help me. i really do not understand or know how reddit works ive never used it before until now other than reading. it said “invite for message chat” when i tried to click your name to message and then when i did that a notification said you accepted and then i tried to send it and im assuming it sent but im not positive because i dont know how it works. but if you could check your message to see if its there and please help i would greatly appreciate it!!!
Bro the recent activity page, (which is by microsoft) literally says someone in America logged into my account. I don’t even need to use the email link, you can just google recent activity Microsoft.
You got lucky that it was real. NEVER click on links in the email. Just go to the site manually to check the information, bit it MSFT or your bank or wherever. Emails can be spoofed and some are very good.
Right, I take your point (and yes, the fact that you don’t need to use the email link is another good reason to just never click email links). 
In this case, I agree with the folks who said it’s probably just a “false alarm” caused by your use of a VPN server that was recognized as being in the US.
