Tech guy doesn't know - VPN MAC

Hey all, I’m hopping in here looking for some help. Basically, my client wants me to have access to their S:drive to help them clean it up and in order to do that from my home, I need to access it via VPN. I’m on a MAC and everything seems right to me, but I can’t “find” it, keeps giving me an error.

I’ve been working with their Tech guy, but he’s basically saying “dunno”. Not great.

See pics for config.

Once I set up, I then open FINDER and choose Go → Connect to server → add smb://###.###.#.##/shared and the I get error:

“There was a problem connecting to the server. The server may not exist or it is unavailable at this time. ETC”

What am I missing here? Clearly I missed something. I just can’t find it and I’m hoping someone here can help.

The VPN is not configured correctly on the server side? Could be lots of different things.

There are tonnes of potential issues here.

Most likely is that their VPN isn’t routing traffic properly.

So, on his end? But yet other people are using it…? Is it the way he set my account up, possible?

So, it’s likely on his end, not mine? (other people can access it)
