Hi, just like the title says, I am trying to stream in China on twitch. I have Expressvpn and I can stream on twitch that way but the main issue I have is that I want to stream my gameplay and in order for me to play the game I have to use this game booster I have which is called 小黑盒加速器. When I connect to expressvpn, the game servers listed in 小黑盒加速器 gives me 200+ping which is not ideal for gameplay. So if there is anyone here tried to or succeeded on streaming your gameplay on twitch, please let me know! I want to try to stream on twitch
I use qiyou accelerator (奇游电竞加速器)accelerate FS2020 as it will actually accelerate everything. Then use Astrill on top and OpenWeb for actual VPN.
If you need to tune Astrill to only VPN blocked sites you can
not sure what protocols those commercial vpns use. but using openvpn or even wireguard, you can do a sort of split tunnel. like it will only divert traffic for certain ip addresses. a socks proxy might be easier, but it all depends on how tech literate you are. give what i mentioned a read up, what ever seems easier, do that.
You have a better chance of bringing democracy to Hong Kong than trying to use the Internet as intended in mainland China.
this qiyou accelerator, how much does it cost? the game booster I’m using is 20rmb for 1 month (when buying for first time it’s like 12 or 16 I think)
edit: 1 month + free code for an extra 5day
I don’t really know much about doing proxy stuff on computers I only know how to do simple port-forwardings… but I don’t think it have ever worked (lol). In Express there are OpenVPN UDP & TCP, IKEv2, L2TP/IPsec and theres a new protocol they have added Lightway TCP & UDP.
Expressvpn has the split tunnel, and It seems like you are using AstrilVPN! because of wireguard. I have done split tunneling on the Expressvpn but when I add the booster app on “do not allow connection to this app” or even I tried to only use “only allow connection to this app” (I put in just Chrome on the list) the booster still detects that I am using VPN and gives me 200+ ping.
I’ll look up what a socks proxy is, never heard of it before…
i dont use any vpn service, i run my own. since you pay them for a service, you could present your situation to them. they might have encountered this problem before and have an easy fix. i found that a socks proxy was way easier to deal with if i needed to change a setting or adjustment on the fly. but everyone has their flavour.
hmmmmm sounds very cool, so I’m assuming you are using a SOCK proxy right now?
lol no, not always. i use it for when i need to do some weird things like what you are trying to do.
lmaoo, wait are you in China or already outside of China? lol you said you don’t use vpn service how are you able to use reddit?
tunnels or vpns aren’t some kind of magic that only a few companies can conjure up. yes i live in china, yes there are a dozen methods of getting through the firewall.
Wow… The endless possibilities
