Unnecessarily alarming notification with hidden ‘X’ (I’m already using a VPN!)
I like iobits software, but EVERYTHING IS ALWAYS AN EMERGENCY
This absolutely counts,
But I love seeing these “YOUR IP IS EXPOSED!!! OH MY GOD! WE KNOW YOU’RE IN ECUADOR!” messages.
Make me giggle every time.
I’d uninstall IOBit, it’s clearly adware garbage.
Well, that was it for IObit I guess. Uninstall that shit and move on.
^also ^that ^copilot ^button, ^ew
It’s an ad.
It has nothing to do with you using a VPN or not. The important bit is that you’re not using their VPN.
(Not to take anything away from the assholedesign with that barely visible X, just giving some more insight.)
the X might be hidden because of your dark mode extension
Iobit’s advertisements are really annoying, I’d get a cracked copy with no ads. I’ve used all their software a little too much, and its never really helped my computer. I would look for some alternatives.
For Advanced system care you can use Autoruns for startup programs, and the rest of their features are mostly unnecessary. I would also stay clear of CCleaner for the same reasons, mostly unnecessary and definitely stealing your data since they sold to Avast.
I’ve never found a better alternative to Iobit uninstaller, so I just use a cracked copy. But Bulk Crap Uninstaller is decent too.
Driver booster has helped me find drivers that windows couldn’t find, but in most cases you don’t need it. Just let windows manage drivers, and download special drivers from manufacturer websites.
Their antivirus is terrible, I’ve gotten multiple infections with it when I trialed it, I would suggest Comodo (free forever if you click the right button on the download page, and turn off the singular popup at boot) or windows defender.
iobit is one of the worst software companies in the world, don’t use their product
I too receive this notification every few days or so and it’s extremely infuriating, especially since I uninstalled their garbage programs months ago. How could I get rid of it?
VPN’s most of the time are a scam they are collecting your data anyways
I got an alarm from my phone provider telling me I was at X GB this period with !'s and other things that made it look like a warning. I called and made sure I still had an unlimited plan. Then spent like 30 minutes looking up how to shut that alarm off.
What VPN are you using? I would love to try it out. (not the IObit one lol)
You clearly don’t understand how VPN works.
Use Proton VPN, it’s better
Add blockers are great
It’s a pain for sure
also that copilot button, ew
I like you
What’s a good alternative to their Advanced system care?
