VPN/Connection to discord or games with friends back in EU

I am aware of the lag i will face, however reasonably what are my chances of using it normally, and any suggestions for which software?

I haven’t ever used anything like this, but I heard of “speed boosters” (加速器) which allow you to connect to western servers. Iirc NetEase has one.

I play with friends in the US or EU with no issues. Use UU Booster for games (without VPN unless the servers block China), but as I recall Discord needs a VPN (you can config most VPNs to only apply to some apps).
