VPN for SEA to Aus's server

I had tried mudfish and wtfast, mudfish doesn’t show much improvement at all, basically same as not using it.

Wtfast serveral SG > Aus/perth server combination have no improvement, infact the best ping I can get from wtfast is +5 to around +7 my normal ping without any vpn.

I am using fibre 2Gbps in Singapore, playing in Adiri (aus server) my in-game RTT is 115-120ms constant and only fluctuate 120-125ms during evening peak hours.

Have any of you from SEA try any other vpn like exitlag or any other methods that really helps and could share the results? Thank you very much!

VPN does not help in this game afaik. Exitlag hasn’t updated new world yet so no connection can be established. Have tried multiple vpn all worsen the ping.

That’s just Australian internet. I get 115 ping and I’m playing from western Australia

is the game enjoyable at 120m/s? Singaporean here thinking to get the game

I cant even play the game with mudfish, how do you get it to work, everytime I start “connect” on mudfish, my new world just says “lag detected” and i can’t move.

half true. some ISP don’t use the optimal route to the destination server, instead taking extra hops that are cheaper for the ISP so its more like
- without: you - (series of hops that didn’t need to be taken) - dest server
- with: you - local VPN entry - (fewer hops to get to dest) - dest VPN exit - dest server

in some cases the route you end up taking is the same as what the ISP would use, then the VPN would slow you down.

You can do PVE just fine, however there will be frustration because u think u can dodge it but still get it and trust me, its the ping, not how the game mechanics work. I know cause I’ve seem videos of it and I have videos for compare but still if u do not mine, PVE is ok for 120ms ping hell I even double down to 150ms ping.

However for PVP it is a different story. You basically cannot win or do anything above 100ms ping… People will seems godlike to u dodging everything, even thou on your screen you’ve cast ur skill, on their screen it just show u near them so they will just dodge and all ur hits will register as a miss… And u will get tons of damage even if u think u successfully dodged.

I played around 200 hours in close beta and level 60…

Do it before you connect and make sure you have new world set as the item. Personally, I see improvements of 30ms on mine from 190 to 160ms

Not really. VPN improves ping, stabilizes latency and reduces packet loss in many games. Not this game though.

Not true at all

I am playing from malaysia with 150-170 RTT depending on time of day and i can play pvp just fine. It takes a little getting used to. Melee/Mage/Musket is ok but not bow. Bow is hard to use with such high ping. Other than that its fine. If you want i can provide multiple screenshots of my wars showing me at top 5 rating in every single war i’ve been in so far.
