I got a VPN because my state doesn’t let me play certain games. With the VPN on, the app still knows that im in the state.
Should I delete my account and start a new one that way it doesn’t have access to my cookies or do VPNs not work this way? Im guessing they do work for apps because people use them for Netflix.
Help? And please be kind because I so ready feel ignorant enough simply asking this question.
You need a vpn provider that has multiple vpn sites in different states and or countries. I can login to East or west coast states and my local is of the vpn.
Hey there, I actually own a VPN provider used by gamers, so let me answer. Firstly, the VPN is a great start and basically a must-have, but it also must be known that if you’re logging into a game, that game provider could have a record of what country you were in when you FIRST made your account and they they stick that identity to you regardless if you change IPs.
That is why some of my customers have local game accounts, then they load up my VPN, and sometimes make a new account with that game using that new VPN country of origin.
This doesn’t happen often, I’d say 5-10% of games, and some games don’t even care unless you’re from a specific country, but nonetheless it is something to keep in mind.
Yeah i live in a state where you can’t play betting games on a mobile device. You sure can spend as much as you want in their casinos but apparently not on an app. So im just gonna let it go. Thank you for answering though.
