I’m a VyprVPN user for almost 4 years by now and tried to extend my subscription with the offered 36 months Black Friday deal a couple of days ago. Here’s how it went:
First I received information telling me that this is for new sign-ups only but as a valued customer VyprVPN will help me use this deal with my existing account.
I’ve then been informed that my current subscription cannot be extended with this deal and that I need a new plan with new billing. Since I had no idea how to accomplish this, we exchanged a few emails back and forth in order to clarify the details.
Then all of a sudden the customer success team representative told me that the deal is not available any longer (way before the original public expiry date) and even though we already agreed to replace my subscription, he cannot help with it any longer. Then came radio silence, no reply from VyprVPN to the next case I opened about the same discussion trying to finish the transaction of moving my account to the 36 months model.
Worth to mention that while I spoke with VyprVPN’s support team, some of the replies to my messages came from different support representatives which didn’t help in finding the common ground and move forward with the case and might very well be the reason why one representative’s promise was broken by another.
Previous to this incident I was very happy with both VyprVPN’s service and support but this had left a pretty bad taste in my mouth.
I’m wondering if anyone else had similarly negative experience with them and their 2021 Black Friday deal?
