At this time, I have two reasons for wanting a secured browser or VPN (not sure which I need).
- To protect my online banking
& - To be anonymous on facebook.
Any suggestions?

Your online banking is secure without a VPN, you dont need one. To be anonymous on facebook, right… ok… sure thing.
online banking is easy. IOS device over cell data using the banks app is about as safe as you can get.
Anonymous from facebook is not too easy. You’ll want a fingerprint blocking browser with ublock origin and hopefully running all your dns through a well armed pi-hole or similar. Cookie auto-delete on browser close. Even all that though is not truly anonymous to the big data mining sites.
Any vpn would work.
Anonymous on Facebook is an oxymoron.
Facebook is the largest data collector in the world, best chance of not getting tacked by facebook is to not use their app and not be in posts from people who do use them.
But if you really must use facebook and want to try your best to hide, use Tor or buy an exclusive IP address from a VPN service like PIA and only access facebook though the exclusive ip address or tor. If you mess up once and use a home or local ip address, thats all they will need to know where you are at all times. If you have used facebook before without using a VPN or Tor, they probably already know how to find you if they want.
So again, best option, don’t use facebook.
You can also go to an internet cafe or library and use it there, just remember to log out.
VPN just changes your exit location and encrypts the data from your entry point to the exit location. What ever hops that are taken from that exit location to the destination happen, are impossible to know if are secure.
If you are checking your bank account on public networks, such as cellular, hotel/coffeeshop/airport/etc wifi, then it might be worth it. But you should also not be accessing a bank account that requires so much security.
Take Capital One Bank, one of the most secure online banks in the USA. Perfectly fine using on public networks, more dangerous is the person looking over your shoulder.
Small local banks might have lower internet security. If this is the case, open up a new bank account with an online one that is safe for online banking, do all other bank stuff with the insecure online one in person or at home.
If you are just accessing your bank from home, no point, who are you hiding that info from? Yourself?
… what was I talking about again???
does not work on fb,
