Why can’t I download Proton VPN for Linux?

I start off by signing into Proton mail via web browser.

Click on VPN which takes me to Proton VPN webpage. I sign in there

Click on down load, it asks me to sign in again. I do and click download then it asks me to sign in again. Over and over

What am I doing wrong?

How to install Proton VPN on Ubuntu - deb package

No sign in required.

There are instructions on Proton’s website for installing on Linux. Works fine for me on mint

Just use your distro’s package manager to install it. In e.g manjaro start menu>add/remove programs and search for protonvpn

I second this, using here the latest Mint 21.2

I def looked before I posted here. I don’t see it Debian stable

Backports maybe…I didn’t check and looking now I don’t even have them un-commented

I have no experience with debian so my only guess is to to open the .deb file in your GUI for the package manager?
(just to brag a little bit as a Manjaro user: all I have to do is type ‘sudo yay -S protonvpn’ and things are taken care off
