Waiting for wireguard to get a tvOS 17 app. Hopefully it’s soon.

As per NordVPN twitter, this is what they are saying to people who are asking about the app

" We’re working on an app for TVOS 17, however we’re unable to offer an ETA for its release just yet "

" We can assure you that our tech team is working on it, however, we cannot provide ETA as of yet. "

I’m really excited for VPN on Apple TV with TV OS17. The functionality I need is the ability to activate a location specific VPN to a selected number of apps on Apple TV, but leave the remainder of the apps operating without the VPN. Is this possible?

none of these VPNs allow you to mask your location and access apps from this location.

I need this…live in the Middle East but want to be able to FaceTime with my family back home.

Can you guys also specify which are standalone apps we can install on the Apple TV?

Tailscale works but it’s not like the other VPN services you need to supply your own exit node in the location you want to appear to be coming from.

This works for me as I just want to connect my home when travelling and it’s free.

SwizzVPN, works really good, by far the easiest to use.

So, IPVanish DOES NOT WORK for streaming apps. I have confirmed this. Disney+ simply does not load, prime video detects the vpn and asks you to disable it, Hulu does not work, etc etc… only working one is PEACOCK

I have NordVPN but there is no app for ATV. I have been using SafeShell, it’s working great. It’s actually weird because it’s free

SafeShell VPN allows me to watch Netflix experience well.
