Yes, the Common App seems to be down, and yes, Cornell is allowing applications until January 8th

Edits: 1/4/2021 12:14am EST: Yale seems to be aware of the crash of yesterday and is okay with late apps being submitted ASAP. No word on when the exact cutoff for “ASAP” is.

1/3/2021 2:20am EST: Stanford has extended their deadline until January 3rd, 11:59pm PST.

1/3/2021 1:24am EST: Common App seems to be working again. However, no official announcement of its working status has been made.

If a school is not listed, then they have not announced an extension to their deadline.
