When I was a kid, my parents took us from Canada to Florida once every 2 years. I was psyched to watch real Disney Channel and Nickelodeon (we usually had to watch the shows on Canadian channels that had the licensing for Disney/ Nick programming) I remember telling my parents that I wanted to be home from whatever restaurant by xyz time so I could watch Chasing Zoey.

That sounds very nostalgic, I’m from Florida so always been exposed to the theme parks and I definitely caught real Disney Channel and Nickelodeon down here lol. Do you remember the name of the Canadian channel that you watched Zoey 101 in?

I remember back in '08 my cousins were visiting and our family plus the cousins all sat in the same room together to watch the series finale of Avatar The Last Airbender. Actually it was the final 4 episodes played back-to-back over a 2-hour stretch. We never did anything like that before or since, at least as far as I can recall. It was truly special.

I have a very similar story, we had real Disney but it was translated or dubbed in Arabic. We had the same shows but if America was on season 3, we’d still be airing season 1 etc

So when I would see clips online I’d be so amazed at how much everyone grew up like I’m so used to Hannah Montana season 1 while the actors were actually 4 years older in the newer episodes and then there was unique specials like the summer games … ugh was so jealous and wanted to badly watch US Disney in real time, long story short I had to use a vpn and some obscure shit to stream it on my dads windows xp in like 2007 haha
