Hi, I’m extremely out of funds and I have no way of getting a VPN and the free VPN they just don’t seem to work while using fluid app when torrenting on public wifi. The VPN work fine as long as I’m browsing but as soon as I turn on fluid the VPN stops loading and nothing loads then I have to reconnect wifi and reconnect VPN. Public wifi like McDonald’s and Starbucks and other I use?
How safe am I ? And if there is a way or a VPN that would allow me to use fluid while torrenting? I have tried proton and x VPN they both have same issue. Tried warp 1.1.1. or whatever it’s called, it worked but then I checked on Google to see if it hid my IP and nope it didn’t the my IP address it showed was exactly my location so I deleted it.
Please help me and guide me.
Thank you
Proton’s free VPN specifically prevents torrenting, torrenting only works with the paid version. I’ve never heard of x VPN so I can’t answer for that one.
Torrenting with a free VPN on your own WiFi wouldn’t work either, as ProtonVPN’s free tier doesn’t support torrenting under any circumstance.
Please help me and guide me. Thank you
Get a paid VPN. Using a free VPN isn’t recommended at all for torrenting. I would recommend Mullvad or AirVPN as they are some of the cheapest options. I’ve used both and I can say both work great with torrenting on android.
And before you ask, no, TOR isn’t a good free VPN for torrenting. It says it on their download page to not use it with Bittorent.
If you can’t afford to torrent, stick to direct downloading.
Also the Torrent files I can download and visit the Torrent websites using the VPN and get the file it all works fine but when I just start the fluid app everything just stops and nothing loads but without the VPN everything works fine
Consider Windscribe, it’s free and supports P2P trafficking
I used it before switching to Linux
this is a good way to get the place you are torrenting through a cease and desist letter. They are going to be very angry about this unwanted legal action and, if they have enough resources, will attempt to track you down and make sure that you do not do this again. I’ll leave it up to you to think about how they might do that. Don’t do it.
Is there any VPN for Android free one that would let me torrent?
Thank you for answering. Is there a way to download torrent using a direct download method? And if I just download the file through VPN and then torrent without VPN would I get into trouble ? Cuz Idk if they know what I’m torrenting cuz they never see me downloading the file right ?
Windscribe for Android?

I think you’re misunderstanding how this works.
1 - Direct downloads don’t require a VPN.
2 - When you torrent, your IP address is exposed. Nefarious people see it and report it, which is how you get into trouble. Direct Downloading has nothing to do with torrents.
3 - Torrenting without a VPN isn’t safe under any circumstance (unless you live in a country that doesn’t care about piracy.)
Is there a way to download torrent using a direct download method?
There are paid services like Real Debrid and All debrid that can convert a torrent file to a direct download link. I am not aware of a free service that can do this.
If you’re in a hole, stop digging. Show some self-control.
