Title says it all, what’s the best cheap VPNs for modding GTA online? I was considering Mullvad, are their speeds good and is it worth it? Open to any suggestions.
i personally use mullvad and it’s good. but just use whichever one you can get for the cheapest, they’re all pretty much the same.
ProtonVPN free works fine enough if the only goal is to not get your IP leaked

Imo Mulluvad is the best VPN, it’s cheap and based around privacy, the speeds are also uncapped afaik.
I’ve also used TorGuard, but for some reason whenever I use a location in the US I will get put in Asian/East European servers
If only for gaming:
Use whichever one is the cheapest, Express seems really overpriced (maybe I just don’t have the promo codes), Nord seems cheap tho.
If for general use:
Express is owned by an ex-ad company with a history of fake download buttons and putting adware on peoples computers. Nord stores user passwords in plain text, so if they get leaked, others have access to your account (not the case with almost any other website due to hashing).
IVPN (personal pick, 5 euro/month) is pretty much the fastest one available.
Mullvad (5 euro/month) seems to have more server locations, but is a bit slower.
ProtonVPN is free, has no data limit, and does not log traffic, however Proton passed login on IPs from their email service to the Swiss police recently and free plan’s speed is not enough for me.
You can make a free VPN on an Amazon EC2 instance with pre-made community OpenVPN AMIs. I’ve been using this for a couple months and it’s great if you only really care about hiding your IP.
You don’t need a CC to sign up for the year-long free trial. No speed compromise. It’s quite good.
ExpressVPN is really good at keeping me from getting hit off, I’ve heard good things about mullvad but apparently they aren’t quite as good at protecting you. There’s StandVPN which is really good at protecting you and you can pay for a days use at a time but VPN locations are limited.
ExpressVPN and NordVPN are top choices. I use ExpressVPN and used a code to get 50% off for the first 12 months and 3 months free extra at the beginning.
Haven’t been hit offline and have had many modders complain about not being able to grab my IP ahaha.
In terms of VPN, there are imo 4 good ones.
Mullvad is a new one that is good in not holding logs, and thus good foe privacy.
Express VPN has always been one of the best, great at unblocking things, together with no logs.
Nordvpn is similar to express, except it’s reputation took a hit a while back, so you might want to have express over this one.
ProtonVPN, cheapest provider I know that has no logs.
I use this one myself, and are quite happy with it.
Unless you don’t want to buy ur own vps I’d go with stand’s vpn. I’m pretty sure it’s a frantech path which means ur pretty safe against virtually any attack. If you live in the US then just go w that.
go express or nord. express is like a little bit faster ive used both myself but nord does the job more then well enough for usually alot cheaper then express

I would say go between mullvad and ivpn, ivpn is more expensive if doing the pro version. Both are pretty good though, from past research mullvad is a little faster but they both probably are your best options. I use ivpn though and ive had basically no issues with the program.
What is the proper way to set up VPN. If i use vpn rockstar deny me access. I get a message they can not find my data.
If you want a free option then go for proton vpn. If you can pay 5€ per month then definetly go for Mullvad. Mullvad values the privacy of their users and is very cheap compared to some other vpn services. (You dont even have to give them your email since all you have is a account ID)
torguard is pretty good aswell, make sure to use promocodes
And mullvad, i personally prefer mullvad.
