Best VPN for Gaming (without lags)

I’m struggling with lag spikes while playing online games like Valorant and Apex. My ping suddenly shoots up at the worst moments, and it’s starting to get super frustrating. I’ve been thinking about trying a VPN to stabilize my connection, but I’m not sure where to start. I also heard some VPNs can protect against DDoS attacks, which sounds great since I’ve had some sketchy run-ins in gaming lobbies. Plus, I wouldn’t mind accessing region-locked servers or even games that aren’t available in my area. Has anyone here tried using a VPN for gaming? Does it actually reduce lag or just make things worse? And if anyone here has tried torrenting while gaming with a VPN, how was the experience? Would love to hear your thoughts!

You need to know first why your MS spikes happen , if its Shitty peering of your ISP , a VPN could fix that if you got a close enough server to YOU.
If its just your hardware or house connection or worse the first step in your connection then a VPN cant fix it.

Windscribe got good low latency servers you can even manually change MTU and more.

Surfshark was good once but they degraded a bit.

Purevpn surprisingly works but their software is iffy.

How are you connected to your router/modem?

If WiFi - fix that by going ethernet cable. If you can’t run a CAT5/6 cable for whatever reason then get ethernet over power adaptors.

Not enough actual tech info and too much fluff/crap in OP.

tbh i only know of cyberghost that has special servers (for gaming)

My son uses GamersVPN, says they are really good. They do a free trial https://gamersvpn.com/ might be worth a look.
